My Next Chapter: Black Venture Institute, Cohort 9

I’m stepping into something that feels both aligned and expansive.

After years of pouring my heart into building systems, products, and partnerships, I’m in a season of protecting my peace—and being more selective about where my energy flows. I’ve learned that impact without alignment is draining. And that abundance doesn’t come from saying yes to everything—it comes from saying yes to the right things.

That’s why I’m applying to join BLCKVC’s Black Venture Institute, Cohort 9.

Not for status. Not for ego. But because I believe in preparing for the kind of table I want to help set—where capital meets care, where pattern recognition makes space for new patterns, and where people who’ve been left out of the room don’t just get access—they get power.

I’m not saying yes to everything anymore.
But I am saying yes to this.

Joining BVI feels like the kind of decision that stretches me—but also roots me.
It’s a step toward deeper fluency, stronger conviction, and sharper tools to back the kind of founders and futures I believe in.

Let’s see where it leads.
